Are you a denier of global warming?
- It can not be denied, and of course pollution is bad, but the reasons for global warming can be disputed. I am very sceptical. Other planets in the solar system are also warming, is that my fault and should I be taxed extra for that too ?
- there is no global warming. its just another scare tatic of dems
- Heres my thoughts. If I think we are causing global warming and I want us all to invest in new technologies and I am correct then we possibly stave off disaster. If I am wrong then we have simply upgraded some antiquated systems that needed updating anyway. Of course there will be a different set of old rich men getting richer but what do I care. I am still going to be living the same lifestyle regardless which set of old rich men get paid. On the flip if I am against this and I am right then the same old rich men stay rich, we continue to use the same antiquated technology and there is no improvement. If I am wrong then we cook ourselves alive and destroy the planet for future generations. This seems kinda like a no brainer to me
- The truth is that both sides are VERY well funded, and both are using it as a political issue. For every person who denies that climate change is happening, there is another person, who, with a straight face, will tell you that the amount of solar output has no impact at all on the climate of the earth. While I am convinced that the climate is changing, no one has been able to say specifically what the proper annual average temperature for the planet is. Static ecosystems are unhealthy. We're coming out of an ice age, so I do not see how warming is necessarily a bad thing. Yes, it can cause economic and ecological disturbances, but this is normal and healthy. If indeed we should try to control the climate of the planet, and determine an exact number for it is proper temperature, then we need to do a LOT more than simply control carbon output in order to achieve this proper temperature. Creating a perfectly climate controled planet would involve setting up huge mirrors / shades in orbit that could block or increase sunlight to maintain the perfect temperature as determined by politicians or scientists. Until we have these in place, no amount of carbon decrease or increase is going to have a large enough impact on global temperatures to be able to control it accurately. The fact is, the biggest greenhouse gas is water, not carbon
- Everyone needs to stop and think about this. What do you care about more. The political party and its views you ociate with or the Earth that we all live on? Global Warming or not, Why should not people make attempts to reduce emissions? Why should not we recycle? Why should not we attempt to live "Green"? Anyone who argues why we SHOULd not do any of these is obviously to selfish and ignorant of a human being to be allowed to have any say in the politics of a peaceful healthy place WE ALL call home. The Earth is warming, and this is due to a natural warming and cooling cycle the Earth goes through and not solely due to man made emissions. Humans obviously are adding emissions to the atmosphere if this is not the case, prove to me that cars do not produce CO2. Whether or not it is enough to actually accelerate the warming and eventually lead to humans demise is anybody's guess at this point. Common Sense should tell anyone that we should at least attempt to clean our acts up anyway that we can Global Warming or not. Just because political groups argue over it being true or false should not affect how you decide to help out
- This is the lousiest summer I have seen in many years, Seattle I do not buy it. So an ice shelf broke, big deal. Rocky lost his last fight. I was more upset about that
- YES to many people teach it as fact, but it is not proven
- It is something you will continue hearing all over the US Michael. I live in Europe and I am really amazed to see how people there keep denying the whole problem. There are too many interests involved
- I deny the way that it is presented to us, I believe it has far more to do with population, and possibly the sun as there is data that other planets in our solar system are also seeing an increase in temperature. I do not think fuel efficient cars are the cure for this, however Im not against the idea of getting away from the use of fossil fuels, it is very much time to move on from this Dinosaur of a transportation method. pun fully intended
- I just read an article in a National Geographic about burning up our Fossil Fuels and how scientists had alarming misgivings about the future of the "climate" This was an issue from 1979! . They have known about this for awhile. but it gets warped with the squabbling and politcal agendas. I live in Montana. a very wild and beautiful state. Maybe much of the denial is coming from not being able to "see" the affects of global warming. I can actually see it here. Holland Lake. a beautiful Glacial lake is getting warmer. I used to be frigid when I was young. you would jump in and your extremeties would be like popsicles. Now, I would compare it to the Gulf Of Mexico in temperature. this is only after about 7 years. that is the fastest lake warming I have ever heard of!. Our rivers are low, the annual snowfall this last winter was the lowest it has "ever" been this is read from Independent, our temperatures this summer have reached 107. the hottest it has "ever" been! This is NOT normal for Montana. Maybe this is a fluke and yes, nothing is for certain. however, one thing is for certain. America is a "reactive" culture. not proactive. We decide to wait until we are directly affected to ever take action. to put it short; people MUST die before we even CARE. WWII, Exon crisis, Sept. 11th, Bridge Collapse, School Shootings. we neglect things that really matter and are indeed important until they start killing people. and THEN we notice. So I suppose we will just have to wait until our lungs start, food becomes depleted, our children have more and more neonatal disease and are bore prematurely already happening before we realize what our pollution is doing our atmosphere
- b BULL CRAP! / b. If ever there was a well - funded campaign to politicize and propagandize climate change, it has been advanced by b the environmental left / b and the so t / communist elements of the United Nations. This campaign of environmental terror was begun in the 1970s by communist sympathizers. They were even more energized after their buddies in the Soviet Union melted down. But to getting back to your pathetic rant. Why do you think so many "denialist", whose lifes work was at the very core of the IPCC research, have divorced themselves entirely from the IPCC? Is it because that their words were so badly twisted by IPCC reviewers?. Why is it that it takes threats of legal action for prestigious scientist to have their names removed from the "sacred" IPCC reports? Could it be that the Global Warming Movement is desperate to pad their falsified counts of scientist in their so - called consensus?. Why is it that the heavily - edited Executive Summaries more easily read by the news media and laymen bear little or no resemblance to the original IPCC reports they purportedly describe? Might it be due to the IPCC reviewers talents for turning facts on their heads?. The Global Warming Movement ought to be viewed, by any clear - thinking observer, as a very frightening enemy. They are social engineers who wish to shape public opinion, not through serious debate, but through the use of well - choreographed propaganda campaigns. They claim that the science is settled, when clearly the underlying theory is based on scientific fallacy that CO2 drives warming which it clearly does not!. They claim that there is an overwhelming consensus, when science by consensus is not science at all - it is pure propaganda! They shout down every dissenting opinion, question the credentials of anyone who presents facts that do not square with their radical agenda, and threaten the careers of those who dare oppose them. That sort of coercion cannot be tolerated!. The entire premise of global warming is the most elaborate hoax ever perpetrated on humanity. Yes, even bigger than the tobacco scandal to which you refer. Now that many of the deceitful leaders of the Global Warming Movement are being exposed for the charlatans that they are. Now that the scammers who advance big science are being caught in their web of deceit so as to expand their budgets. Now that the sociopaths behind big education are being revealed in their attempt to further bloat their undeserved budgets. Now that the carbon credit rip - off artists including Reverend Al Gore of the Holy Evangelical Church of the Divine Remunerator are being written up in the left - leaning New York Times. Now that all of this is surfacing, the fraudsters are even more hostile in the defense of their indefensible posture. I do not deny that climate change occurs. Actaully, it occurs with historic regularity. Check the ice core records, if you do not believe me. However, I do deny that humanity has the innate ability to terraform the planet, which is really what you global warming nutcases wish to do!. Apparently, the Global Warming Movement is unwilling to relent until they have destroyed the global economy, or at least rendered the American Experiment as a footnote in the history of the New World under communism. Over my dead body
- No I am not a denier know for a fact that winters here in North Carolina are much warmer than they were in the 1940's thru 1960's something is going on
- Anyone who does not agree with global warming as described by Al Gore and the Green House freaks are accused of being in denial. Most scientists and other sane people agree the earth is warming up, but they do not necessarily agree that it is caused by the actions of mankind. I thought liberals were supposed to be so open minded about all the issues? Seems as if global warming has proven that premise to be a total myth of leftwing propaganda. LOL!
- globalwarming is a natural ebb of our earths climate. the problem now is humans have accelerated it this time around. this cannot be disputed
