Can you provide me with a truly unbiased source of the debates?
October 6, 2008 - You know what I think is that Nixon's 5 O'clock shadow made him look like a cheezy used car salesman and that alone is what "done 'im in." Imagine losing an election because of an ...
- Slap...more of the same BS...got it?
- Channel 4 in the UK, starts coverage on Saturday night, you can get it on line Slap, they have no axe to grind here, http://www.channel4.com/watch_online/ *v*
- Nothing special. McCain supporters see one thing, Obama supporters see another, and 400 thousand people thought this.. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26906945?GT1=43001, but it was nothing special.
- the one guy was lip sinking ; (
- I listened to it on NPR ( national public radio ) > http://www.npr.org/ it's on the front page of the Home page....Peace
- You can watch it on CSPAN.com. ... ... I don't know about you, but my cable company has a On Demand channel, on digital cable, for politics. The convention speeches are on there and I would guess that the debates will be on there too. Check with your cable company on that.
- not sure about bias, but this claims to link to full video... ... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/26909249#26909249
on a substantive level both candidates acquitted themselves well .in a political vacuum this debate would seem like a tie. But as any fan of baseball knows the tie goes to the runner. ... Well in politics the tie goes to the candidate who has the momentum and right now that candidate is Barack Obama, and from the perspective the debate was important tactical victory for obama. ... personal view:McCain came off as mean his efforts to paint obama as inexperienced fell flat and seemed more mean spirted he never looked at Obama. he often just retold ols stories we have already heard ( we get it) he stayed in the past and on most of his answer he came across as condescending-seemed angry never once talk about poor people he fumbled his way through the economic portion of the debate. ... Mr. Obama held his own on national security affairs he was more clear concise and confident. he was able to cut some what into Mr. McCain in the matter of the wars he was right about Kissinger back direct talks with Iran without condition. ... www. blogs:abcnews.com /politicalradar/2008/kissingerback.html that my view it's a matter of taste.
- No, because you are not unbiased, so you will view any site through your biased lens.
Not really. Same old stuff, but it was the first time I saw McCain start to get angry. Obama was cool and logical. Since this debate was McCain's so called expertise I think Obama did very well. Since they are so opposite on what America needs i would think that whoever you were going to vote for before the debate you would probably still vote for that person. This is one election that I think will come down to the VP swinging the vote.
Slap: Most Media has a bias but that does not mean you should avoid them. You only need to keep your Flags ready when you hear it. ... ... The most important thing to be aware of is the difference between "commentators" (biased view usually) vs. Legitimate "News Caster." (they work to be honest brokers) Tom Brokaw has a good repution but is not now on TV regularly. During the debates the moderator, Jim Lerner, was as neutral as they come. Lerner was NOT a factor in the debates... good for him! ... ... My eval of debate is McCain performed as expected, no misspoken words or faux pas. McCain was presidential, healthy, alert, and on his "game." What McCain said has been said before except McCain attempted to explain the why's and wherefore's in a little better manner. He was strong on describing how his past experience influences his judgments on foreigh affairs. (I confess his approach is consistent with my 30+ years of negotiation experience with the Fed Govt). Obama's presentation was fairly solid but nothing new. He did appear slightly intimidated by McCain as evidenced by frequent, hems and haws, plus a couple of times he referred to McCain as "Tom" or "Jim" (jim was moderator, who knows where "tom" came from?). I believe his economics arguments are plausable but Obama failed to attach McCain to Bush, but did connect somewhat REPs to economy. Near the end of debates McCain grew slightly in strength and Obama was struggling to keep his feet under him but just about held his own without too much rambing with a number of various new topics trying to show "braoder" understandings. . I view it only slightly favoring McCain but since the topic is Obama's weak side, Obama makes it appear as if it was a tie. ... ... I do have a FAV news media, but you could probably guess what mine is, I don't need to tell you.
