Do you spend like there is no tomarrow?
December 14, 2008 - ... people have been taught that Second Mortgages (a used-to-be-embarrassment) are now called home equity loans. ... I do not agree that car loans are worth borrowing for, and I have ...
- Why not? If you spend too much, the government will bail you out. Oh, wait...they only do that for the super rich. Sorry. Better start watching what you spend.
- Sorry, I am white and we make $60,000.00 a year and that is from pay day to pay day here in AK. Any extra money goes for food and household goods.
Our whole economy has been based on spending like there's no tomorrow. I don't. I've always saved money my whole life. But younger people have been taught that Second Mortgages (a used-to-be-embarrassment) are now called home equity loans. They've been taught it's just fine to have $5,000 on a revolving charge account. Their parents were taught that you spent money when you had it...not pay 16% interest to charge card companies. Our gross national product, every measure of our economy's performance, depends upon people spending more than they earn. I've never done it. Smart people don't. A car loan -- a home mortgage -- student loans. Those are the only things worth borrowing for. The rest is all eye candy.
- sure. I'm wealthy though.
- No. I save my money just in case there is a rainy day.
- No, because tommorow is a possibilty.
- Never, I spend as though I will live a life time..
- My money is in the stock market. It disappears like there was no yesterday!
